...Prospecting Continued
There are some general rules you'll need to know about Prospecting with the Mighty Black Sabbath Nation. Although each case will be slighty different in general you can expect:
- In order to be a prospect for the Black Sabbath MC Nation you must first become a prospective prospect.
- After you've been a prospective prospect you can become a prospect after you've made two club meetings and participated on two club runs.
- You will be voted on by the membership and if you win the vote your name will be changed to Prospect (X). You will not be called any other name for your entire prospect period. To answer to any other name could get time added to your prospectship.
- In general a prospectship is 90 days. Time can be shortened (never less than 30 days) or added to depending upon whether you are exemplary or a royal pain in the ass.
- You will NOT speak during any meeting. You will only speak through your sponsor.
- You will not address patched members of other MC's directly. If spoken to you will only answer their questions and not prolong conversations. You will introduce yourself only as
Prospect (X) a probationary member of the Black Sabbath MC Nation Atlanta, GA chapter.
- Many patched members of other clubs will not speak to prospects and will take great offense if you speak to them directly. To avoid such conflicts prospects will remain with their sponsors and stay quiet as much as possible as prospects are to be seen and not heard. MC's are judged by the discipline and good order of their prospects. Your entire mission is to demonstate, in public, that you are sold-out for the Mighty Black Sabbath MC Nation and the Atlanta chapter.
- Some patched members of other clubs will attempt to haze you as though you are a prospect for their club. You ONLY prospect for the Black Sabbath MC nation. No one else needs to be impressed by you. Remember, you are above all a MAN and at all times a human being. Never allow yourself to be disrespected by ANYONE for ANY REASON.
- You cannot pack (carry a female passenger) as a prospect unless you are given special permission on an out of town run by the President. You exist to serve the Black Sabbath MC Nation during your prospectship and we may need the back seat of your motorcycle so it shouldn't be occupied by a woman.
- You will never operate a motorcycle while intoxicated.
- You will carry the wood whenever asked.
- You will call every member every day! This is to build relationships with all members. How else will we get to know you?
- You will call the National President once per month.
- You will give the Sgt-at-Arms a printout of your DMV printout.
- You will fill out an application form.
- You will stand duty at the club house.
- You will carry out the orders of patched members, but will never be required to do anything against your manhood, religion, humanity or that is against the law!
By the end of your prospect period of 90 days your sponsor should recommend you to the club for an up or down vote to become a patched member. This will be done in a regular or special meeting. If you can garner 100% of the votes of the patched members you will become a member of the Black Sabbath Motorcycle Club Nation, Atlanta chapter. You will be given your back patch (colors), your Breed Apart breast patch and your club assigned name patch. From there you will begin your career as a patched member of the Black Sabbath Motorcycle Club.
Even after a member is patched-in, the patches themselves remain the property of BSMC Nation rather than the member. Upon leaving the BSMC, or being ejected, all insignia, t-shirts, mugs, and anything containing the BSMC logo must be returned to the club.
